Moor Hall School Physical Education and School Sports Activities

Moor Hall believes in giving all our pupils a sporting start providing high quality Physical Education and school sport through curriculum, coaching, out of school hour learning, lunchtime provision, inter and intra school competition.

At Moor Hall School we strive to offer the best Physical Education and School Sport opportunities for our pupils.  In this subject area they will develop positive attitudes to themselves, to others and to the community.  WE will achieve this by having high expectations of all our pupils and ourselves.  We will continually encourage our pupils to be independent, confident learners in Physical Education and encourage them to make the most of opportunities provided for them.
All pupils take part in two hour of physical activity per week, but have opportunities to develop this and take part in lunchtime activities, extended hours clubs and inter house competitions.
Through Physical Education and School Sport we aim to develop the following in our pupils :
  • Greater knowledge and understanding of games play.
  • Opportunities to express themselves creatively.
  • To enjoy being physically active.
  • To have personal achievement and increased self-esteem and confidence.
  • To have opportunities to solve problems, think independently, make decisions and work through problems.
  • An environment of consideration and care for others.
  • The contribution of all pupils is valued and valuable whatever their ability or attainment.
  • An understanding of fair play and sportsmanship.
  • Recognise that competition is natural inevitable and a valuable life skill.
  •  Knowledge of safe practice and how to achieve this.
Thank you to Hitspot for sponsoring our football kits. The team look great.
Fantastic effort from both teams. After losing a nail-biting semi final, the A team won the 3rd place play off.
