Dear Parents / Carers

The application process for Reception entry in September 2023 opened on 1st October 2023 for anyone who has a child/children born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019 that reside in Birmingham and do not have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)  

Please see letter from Birmingham City Council outlining the Reception application process.  Parent/carers have until 15 January 2023 to submit their applications.  Parent/carers who wish to defer entry for their summer born child that is due to start in Reception in September 2023 must also adhere to this same deadline and check the School Admissions website for information about the process.

Please note, families that live outside of Birmingham must apply to their home Local Authority (wherever they pay their Council Tax). 

We would appreciate any families who currently have a child attending Moor Hall School (Reception - Year 5) and are looking for a Reception place for a younger sibling please let us know by emailing us at admissions@moorhall.bham.sch.uk with the subject line SIBLING RECEPTION 2023.  Please let us have the name of the pupil currently attending Moor Hall along with the name and DOB of the sibling looking for a Reception place.
