Welcome to Year One.

In Year One we strive to be confident, healthy, responsible and achieving! Mrs Ghasemi, Mrs Tidman and Mrs Petryshyn are our teachers and Mrs Wheldon and Mrs Dhanak are our teaching assistants. Each week we are also taught by Mrs Patrick for Computing and Mr Jefferies for Music.

We have lots of things in our classroom that help us to learn and be resourceful including working walls, resource trays, grapheme charts on our desks and lots of amazing books. We’re looking forward to a fantastic year with lots of exciting learning and exploring. Some of the topics we will cover are: Whatever the weather, Happy Families, Come and join the celebration, Fairytales and Frogs, Never eat shredded wheat and How does your garden grow? We are also hoping to go on lots of exciting and memorable trips to deepen and embed our understanding of the topics we have learnt. We are hoping to visit the Black Country Museum and the Botanical Gardens to name just a couple.
