Year 6H
Welcome to Year 6
Welcome to Year 6 at Moor Hall Primary School! This year marks an important stage in your child's educational journey, and our dedicated team is here to support their growth both academically and personally. We aim to nurture independent thinkers who approach challenges with courage and resilience. Through a range of exciting activities and lessons, we encourage students to be reflective, learning from their experiences and showing compassion towards others. Our Year 6 team consists of Mrs Hall in 6H, Mr Ellison in 6E and our wonderful support staff: Mrs Curwen, Mrs Shaikh and Miss Shuttleworth who will be busy working between the classes. As part of the Year 6 experience, students will engage in memorable events such as our residential trip to Whitemoor Lakes, which fosters teamwork and builds confidence, and our visit to the National Memorial Arboretum, where they will gain a deeper understanding of respect and remembrance. Throughout the year, key events like Black History Month, Science Week, and Global Awareness Week will inspire students to act with generosity, kindness, and equity, valuing the diverse world around them. At Moor Hall, we strive to cultivate a sense of responsibility and community in every child, helping them grow into compassionate, respectful individuals who are ready to embrace the future with confidence.
